INFO:
👀✨We just got our best look yet at Disney World’s new Starlight Parade. On the latest episode of We Call It Imagineering, Disney shared a rare behind the scenes look at the making of Magic Kingdom’s new nighttime parade. In this video, I’m going to give you a closer look at 6 floats, including new details we learned from Imagineering’s official show. Plus, learn about a fun nod to SpectroMagic at the end of the parade. 🌀 The Starlight logo float gives off serious SpectroMagic vibes from the ‘90s 🕯️ The Encanto float features a giant glowing, animated candle with a stunning wraparound screen. 🌊 The Moana float has giant crashing waves, and something that Imagineering describes as new UV lighting technology on the sail and Grandma Tala. 🌟 The Wish float includes a towering tree that holds the Star 🧚‍♀️ The parade kicks off with the Blue Fairy float, which we got a new glimpse of. 🚂 But we got our best look yet at the Starlight Train finale, starring a new character named Whimsy. This float is just incredible, packed with 13 Disney characters, including Mickey, Minnie, Aladdin, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and more. And my favorite detail: the parade ends just like SpectroMagic, with Jiminy Cricket waving goodbye. Stay tuned for my next video where I’ll dive into more of how Disney brought this animation to life for this parade. And be sure to check out Episode 4 of We Call It Imagineering for a ton of great insights into Disney Live Entertainment. Disney Starlight debuts at Magic Kingdom on July 20. Who else is excited?
