A ten-year-old girl has died after she was struck by a car while she was playing football. Poppy Atkinson was attending a training session at Kendal Rugby club in Cumbria Wednesday night when the car crashed on to the pitch. A 40-year-old man has been arrested, and an eight-year-old girl was also injured.
